The York Book Award has two opportunities for participating students to get involved creatively and act on inspiration from the shortlisted books.
Review Prize
Every review submitted to the website is automatically entered for the Best Review prize.
Creative Prize
In order to celebrate the creative power of reading, we invite participating students to draw inspiration from the shortlisted books with the Creative Prize.
Entries of all formats are welcome, including (but not limited to!):
- Creative writing
- Traditional and digital visual art
- Performance art/Video
Entries for the Creative Prize should be submitted by email with the subject line “Creative Prize submission”, with the student name and school clearly labelled in the file name.
